Tatum Scores 32, Celtics Roll to 10th Straight Win

Mavericks Loss Sets Up Likely NBA Finals Matchup

Acuña's Devastating Injury Overshadows Boston's Triumph

BOSTON, Mass. - Jayson Tatum drained five 3-pointers and poured in 32 points to lead the Boston Celtics to a convincing victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, extending their winning streak to 10 games.

The Celtics' triumph sets the stage for a highly anticipated NBA Finals showdown with the Dallas Mavericks, who lost 124-95. Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 37 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome Boston's suffocating defense and offensive firepower.

The victory was bittersweet for Boston, however, as the team learned of the devastating injury to Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. just hours before tip-off. Acuña, a five-time All-Star and reigning NL MVP, suffered a torn ACL that will sideline him for the entire season.

In a somber post-game press conference, Celtics coach Brad Stevens expressed his condolences to Acuña and his family. "It's a terrible blow for the Braves and for baseball," Stevens said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Ronald during this difficult time."

Despite the somber news, the Celtics remained focused on their own task at hand and put forth a dominant performance against the Mavericks. Tatum was unstoppable from beyond the arc, while Jaylen Brown added 25 points and Marcus Smart dished out 11 assists.

The Celtics' victory sets the stage for a thrilling and competitive NBA Finals series against the Mavericks. With both teams boasting All-Star talent and a deep bench, the battle for the Larry O'Brien Trophy is sure to be one of the most memorable in recent history.
